EPSON Adjustment Program – How to Use the Reset Tool

If your Epson printer suddenly stops working and says something like:

Ink pad is at the end of its service life”

Then you’ve probably landed here searching for a solution.

Good news: You can fix this at home, without going to a repair shop. You just need a reset tool like the one in the image below 👇

🖨️ What Is This Tool?

This is the official-looking Epson Adjustment Program (also called the resetter tool). It’s used to reset the waste ink counter inside your Epson printer.

It’s like telling the printer:

“Don’t worry about the ink pad, let’s keep printing!”

It helps you get rid of that “Service Required” error.

✅ Supported Models in This Tool

This particular version supports these models:

  • XP-235
  • XP-235A
  • XP-332 / XP-335
  • XP-332A
  • XP-432 / XP-435

If your printer is one of these, this tool will work for you!

How to Use It – Step by Step

     Step 1: Download the Resetter

    •  You will receive a ZIP or RAR file.
    • Extract it using WinRAR or 7-Zip.
    •  Step 2: Run the Program
    •  Double-click on AdjProg.exe
    • If needed, right-click and choose Run as Administrator

You’ll see the screen like in the image above.

      Step 3: Select Your Model

      •  From the Model Name dropdown, choose your printer model (like XP-235 or XP-432).
      • Keep Port as "Auto selection" unless you know which port your printer is on.

        Click OK.

        Step 4: Enter Adjustment Mode

        •  After clicking OK, go to “Particular Adjustment Mode”
        • Choose “Waste Ink Pad Counter”

        • 🔹 Step 5: Reset the Waste Ink Counter
        • Tick the options like:
          • ✅ Main pad counter
          • ✅ Platen pad counter
        • Click Check, then click Initialize
        • After the process, it will ask you to turn off your printer.
        • Just turn it off, wait 5 seconds, and turn it back on.

        • Done! Your Printer Is Now Reset

Once done, your printer should be back to normal. No more “Service Required” error. You can now continue printing without issues.
